Hi,
I’m not newly diagnosed but I didn’t know where to introduce myself. Sincere apologies if I’m posting my first discussion in the wrong category.
I’ve had psoriasis for over 20 years and psoriatic arthritis for over 7 years now.
I went through the methotrexate and sulfasalazine trials before ending up on Enbrel around 6 years ago.
Enbrel was a life changer for me, it made my life a hundred times better when I first started. I think the effect may not be as profound now but that’s for a different post I think.
Just wanted to say hello and I hope you’re all as well as can be at this time 😀

Thank you so much for sharing your story with the community. I'm sorry to read that Enbrel may not be having as much of an effect as it once did. I have only taken methotrexate so far but I'm always interested in hearing about people's experiences with the biologics. I'll keep an eye out for your post!

! Biologics can get less effective over time, so there might come a point when you have to switch to something new. My brother has been on Enbrel for a few years now and it has been a life-changer for him as well.
Don't worry about categories for discussion. We can always change the tags so they end up in the right categories. We're just happy to have you here.

I’ve experienced many things over the years with Enbrel but on the whole it has had a huge positive effect.
I’ll make another post soon about my experiences lately to compare with others.
It’s a bit like that scene in Jaws when they were all getting drunk on the boat and comparing scars from previous encounters. Haha 😀
