Chills. Are they a significant problem?

I’ve been experiencing lower body chills, mid-torso through feet, almost every afternoon until late evening. They started about 3 months ago. I'm diagnosed with PsA, diabetes, CFS, gout, plus several other chronic syndromes.

I've been in total isolation for the last 5 weeks, except for my wife, due to high sensitivity to COVID-19 infection. Chills do not respond to blankets or warm drinks. Internal body temp is usually about 96.3 F. 83 years old.

    1. Hi ! Chills can be symptomatic of many different issues, not necessarily related to PsA. Have you talked to your doctor about this? Best wishes! – Lori, Psoriatic-Arthritis.com, Team Member

      1. DoctorS Yes, a fairly decent sized collection of medical experience in various ologists plus one GP who's been reining in the ologists for 40 years.

Every one of them has been presented with the Question, "Why have I got this strange pattern of chills beginning every afternoon?

The answer comes in some variation of "Not my speciality"

        1. It does sound strange, . I wish we could be of more help. It must be frustrating to feel the chills for hours on end. I have some nerve damage in my foot and that can make my foot feel ice-cold at times (on fire at other times), but I don't experience chills. Have you seen a neurologist? Since you say it starts in your torso, maybe it is spine-related? Thinking of you! – Lori, Psoriatic-Arthritis.com, Team Member

        2. Good idea, I'll see if I can get a referral to one.
