Janet Geddis
Born and raised in Georgia, Janet Geddis (known to some of you as “The Migraine Girl”) moved around a bit in her early 20s before deciding to make Athens, Georgia her home. Though she’s dealt with both chronic migraine disease and autoimmune disease for more than half her life, Janet finally feels as if she has figured out a way to live happily even with her health issues (at least most of the time). Much of her healing has been achieved through communicating with her blog readers and other health writers over the last many years. In 2011, Janet opened Avid Bookshop, a community-focused, independent bookstore.
