Starting Humira
I started Humira yesterday for PsA and psoriasis. Today I feel very tired. Is that normal? I haven't noticed any other side effects...what are some that other people have experienced?
I was on Humira for almost 5 years (now switching to Cosentyx, since Humira put me in the hospital twice in 4 months with respiratory infections.) Yes, the main side effect I had when starting Humira was extreme fatigue...for a couple of months. Eventually, there were no symptoms or side effects at all....until this last year, when Humira “went rogue” and did its job too well...pushing my immunosuppression to a lower level than desired. I took a 4.5 month break, had a PsA flare at 2 months and went on Prednisone. I took my first Cosentyx shot (150mg x 1monthly) yesterday, and hope it will work for me!

I have been on Humira now for two months with no side effects and no results either . Not sure how long this stuff takes to kick in but best of luck to you on this !Canmorelisa: When I started Humira, it had an immediate impact on my severe Uveitis flare (which I had been battling with Prednisone & Pred Eye drops for almost 2 years); it took longer and was a slower process of improvement of my PsA joint issues (mostly feet & hands); I was very happy with Humira and would still be on it if it weren’t for the repeated infections 🙁
