Wish me luck! Hoping for a definitive diagnosis tomorrow. I have been struggling with sudden pain, swelling, and stiffness of BOTH of my feet for the past 4 months. Prior to this, I had never had any foot problems whatsoever. I have had psoriasis my whole life. I am 44. Now this has suddenly attacked my feet and I can barely walk. After seeing a podiatrist and an ortho dr, having multiple xrays and MRI’s, they say I have tendinitis of two tendons with tenosynovitis, a torn plantar fascia, a calcaneal bone spur, and plantar fasciitis. But they can’t explain why I have it in both feet at same time and it’s not improving with rest and typical treatments. My primary dr referred me to the rheumatologist and they are my last hope!!!!! I’m tired of being in constant pain. I hope for a diagnosis so I can begin some type of medication that might calm it down.

  1. That is a lot going on in your feet, !! So sorry to read that you're having to deal with all of this. Very best of luck for your appointment today - hope it goes well and you're able to get some answers. Let us know how you get on!

    1. Yes a lot going on in my feet and it’s miserable!! I will never take my feet for granted ever again!!

  2. I hope you received your diagnosis. Did they start you on med's?

    1. Yes I got my diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis and started methotrexate plus folic acid today. Hoping I can finally get some relief within a few months!!!

      1. I am doing really well at the moment. I am not taking anything I actually have a new Dr. so I am not sure what he will want to do. I feel really good! You know when I first realized there was something crazy wrong I hurt so bad and I actually felt like I had the flu. I had psoriasis but I had no idea arthritis could go along with this. My Dr had me on a very high dose of MTX. I could not funtion, I was sleeping all of the time. Vomiting. I was very weak. She had to increase my folic acid and put me on steroids. It was nuts. I gave this medication the benefit of the doubt but I had to go off of this.

      2. Oh my goodness, that's terrible that you got so weak and sick! Glad you're doing better now. Hope everything continues to go well. It is terrible that we sometimes have no choice but to take these strong risky medications. But then I keep thinking, IF it helps, and I can start walking and resuming any physical activities, HOW LONG BEFORE IT ATTACKS AGAIN?! I had absolutely no warning before, and it has disabled me for 4 months. I can't afford to keep doing this!!! It really scares me for my future.
