Has anyone noticed a body smell prior to a flare?

I have been doing a lot of reading and no one ever mentions any changes in body smell as flare symptom!

I’m beginning to think it’s just me!

Has any experienced anything like this before a flare-up?

    Hi there,
I feel like I’m a constant state of a flare. I think all my senses stay in high alert. I have noticed a different odor recently, but I have also adjusted my meds so I assumed it was a reaction from the meds. I also am super sensitive to noise and light.
My body reacts in a different way every time I have a flare. It makes me

well a few days prior to the bad inflamed psoriasis, fatigue, joint burning and lack of wanting to do anything! I get this disgusting smell like, it doesnt go away with showers. I only notice its gone after my flare is in full motion! I have asked my husband if he smell it and he says he doesnt! The dermatologist just looked at me like I was crazy!lol

How mysterious, @moosebrew! Hopefully if anyone else has noticed this they will stop by and share. I will definitely try to be conscious of this and let you know if I smell anything!!

That’s so interesting, @moosebrew! Are you able to notice the change or is it something only others can smell? Can you describe the new smell? I will definitely have to keep an eye (or nose?!) out in future. I am curious, does your doctor have any thoughts this?

Hi @moosebrew For a while before and after the symptoms that led my family doctor to send me to my rheumatologist I kept smelling odd things like pus or rotten meat that lasted for a few minutes that kept coming back but before all this I always had a keen sense of smell, my problem is that I keep forgetting to tell my doctor, I have so many weird short last but repetitive symptoms that by the time I have an appointment I remember only some.
